The Bachelor of Science (Honours) is a multidisciplinary course that allows you the opportunity to continue undergraduate studies at a higher level by pursuing an independent research project in an area of interest. Projects are completed under the supervision of an academic member of staff and allow you the opportunity to develop new skills, generate new information and/or distil new ideas out of existing knowledge, whilst specialising in your chosen field. An honours degree enhances the professional skills that you have acquired in your primary undergraduate degree by allowing you to study more rigorously the links between the theoretical bases and practice. Completion of an honours degree also provides you with a pathway to further studies, leading to Masters by Research and Doctor of Philosophy courses. To enter the course you must hold a Bachelor’s degree obtained from CQUniversity, or another tertiary education institution.
