The Bachelor of Psychological Science provides students with a comprehensive overview of the discipline of Psychology. Throughout the course, students develop a broad knowledge of psychology and its applications, including theoretical perspectives within the discipline and an appreciation of the social and cultural contexts of psychological research and professional practice. Upon completion of the course, students will have a comprehensive understanding of the methodologies and statistical techniques commonly used by researchers for information gathering and analysis, which they can apply when undertaking research activities. Students who complete the course with a GPA of 5.5 or above may be offered a place on our Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) course, which will prepare them for conditional registration as psychologists in Australia, as well as for coursework and/or research higher degree studies in psychology. If you choose not to follow the route towards being a professional psychologies you will have the opportunity to graduate with a highly marketable qualification, which is universally acknowledged as an indication of competence and achievement in understanding human thought and behavior, and which can be applied in a variety of people-oriented vocations.
