This course aims to produce graduates with qualities and transferable skills for demanding employment in the engineering sector. Graduates will have the independent learning ability required for continuing professional development and acquiring new skills at the highest level. Students may elect to follow one of two streams: Thermofluids or Solid Body Mechanics. Engineering courses within the Department are underpinned by research activities in aerospace engineering, automotive/motorsport engineering, solid and fluid mechanics, and energy and the environment. Staff generate numerous publications, conference presentations and patents, and have links with a wide range of institutions both within and outside the UK.
