This apprenticeship program completes the in-class requirements for Automotive Service Technician apprentices, as determined by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. Individuals who are currently working in the automotive repair industry can continue their education in this program. The program consists of three 8-week levels. During each level, apprentices study topics, such as work practices; engine systems; electrical, electronics, emissions, and fuels; drive train systems and suspensions; and steering and brake systems.

Graduates may be employed as apprentice technicians in the automotive service trade. Opportunities may exist in small garages, automobile dealerships, equipment supply firms and government.
