This diploma is an exit qualification from year two of the Bachelor of Applied Arts (Visual Arts and Design). Become a graphic designer, web designer or specialise in motion graphics. Learn about publication design, web design, motion graphics, photography, illustration and design theory. This programme extends student knowledge for a wide range of work, including Publication Design, Web Design, Branding and a major project. The major project is developed in an area of specialisation that the student chooses. The programme concludes with internship placements. Individual and team projects are developed to a professional standard. Skills are augmented through applied research, critical thinking, contextual studies and creative enterprise. Studio papers explore development in 2D graphics (publication design, package design, illustration, branding and identity) and 3D media (motion graphics, animation, interactive and online media). The Diploma in Digital Design and Multimedia builds on the foundation laid in the Level 5 Diploma in Digital Design (year 1 of the Bachelor of Applied Arts, Visual Arts and Design). Students graduate with the Diploma in Digital Design and Multimedia and can continue on to the final year of the Bachelor of Applied Arts (Visual Arts and Design).
