The aim of this four-week course is to introduce you to the Imaging of Fashion. Visual Communication is extremely important to convey emotions and create desire (or rejection), the key ingredients to be successful in the fashion industry. The power of an image is that it can communicate in a very effective way and make many dreams and passions arise. The aim of this short course is to introduce you to the creation of image, illustration and video and graphic design in general. The short-course has been created with the aim of purely focusing on the 2D representation of thoughts and emotion. Going from academic drawing to photography and video and 3D graphics on screens. The world of 2D depiction is extremely vast and has been evolving over centuries, revolutionising imaging. This course aims to introduce you into this realm and make you familiar with all its various subjects, giving you a taste of the power of iconography. The course has been created to introduce you to the Visual Language of Fashion. You will be able to develop your skills in observation drawing, using different graphic techniques and subsequently you will be trained in developing and making compositions and illustrating storyboards. This process is based on the overview of the working method of graphic artists, presenting different graphic and visual techniques, such as sketching, academic and illustration drawing, photography and its manipulation with software, 2D and 3D graphics, motioned pictures, website composition, covers, magazine layouts, etc. This wide spectrum of techniques will be taught in order to enable you to define, with the advice and guidance of your tutors, if you want to pursue this field in your undergraduate, graduate, or Master course or as a professional.
