Course Description

In today's global environment, employers expect graduates to have an international perspective, to understand how business operates with customers and suppliers around the world, and how they are affected by events in other countries. Our flagship programme, the BA (Hons) International Business and Finance will prepare you to compete for a wide range of job opportunities in UK and internationally. While gaining a broad understanding of business and the society in which it operates, you'll also develop essential leadership, management and communication skills and the global perspective you need to excel in a career in business and finance. By choosing a joint honours in International Business and Finance, you'll gain a solid foundation in business and management and develop a distinct specialism with 50% of your modules specifically related to Finance – topics such as financial strategy, corporate finance, investment, risk, ethical trade and international markets. If you wish to specialise in Finance, you will need to choose BA (Hons) International Business and Finance on application to GCU via UCAS. At the end of your first year, you’ll have the opportunity to change your area of specialism to Economics, Human Resource Management, Marketing or Law or you can choose to study BA (Hons) International Business as a standalone subject.
