The 3- semester International Automotive Master courses are based on the basic engineering knowledge taught in the faculty’s in 7-semester Bachelor program “Fahrzeug- und Antriebstechnik”. This is complemented by sophisticated methods and technologies related to the automotive field. The degree program was conceived in cooperation with the faculty’s consultancy board whose members belong to relevant industry and research establishments. The courses are seen in the international context of the Automotive Engineering field. Therefore most modules are taught in English. Student presentations in English are also part of the course exercises. The curriculum strengthens engineering basics where necessary for the sophisticated applications. This is complemented by modern methods for solving complex interdisciplinary optimization problems. With the modules offered in the catalogue “General Competencies”, students will strengthen their abilities in their focus are and gain soft skills relevant for their career. Subjects offered include foreign languages, entrepreneurship, and project management. Each of the degree programs “Powertrain Application” and “Vehicle Simulation” offer topic specific modules.
