Course Description

You will learn how to blend your musical talents with technical skills. You will develop a thorough understanding of the role technology plays in producing, recording and creating music and sound, and have the artistic ability to apply that knowledge professionally in diverse contexts. As an aspiring composer, performer, sound designer or audio producer, you will have the opportunity to work with other Griffith Arts departments on diverse projects such as documentaries, art music videos and feature films. You will undertake theoretical and practical training that emphasises the development of creativity in music technology and the business of music. You will have opportunities to learn through project work within the industry and develop client relationships, teamwork, communication and industry networking opportunities. You will study music technology applications in commercial and studio music production and recording, computing and sound editing, live sound recording and reinforcement, and sound composition
