Course Description

Western Michigan University's film, video and media studies program is for students who are interested in any aspect of film, TV and radio broadcasting, or production. If you decide to major in film, video and media studies at WMU, you will learn about the theoretical framework and practical assumptions that drive today's mass media and spend many hours in the University's state-of-the-art training facilities, where you will gain practical experience in radio and TV broadcasting, news writing, technical direction and production. You must apply for admission to the film, video and media studies program. Acceptance is based on grades, a personal statement that reflects relevant educational and career goals, understanding of the field and writing ability.
