The BS is a traditional Pre-professional architecture degree. It offers studio-based design education and a rigorous program of technology courses. Students are eligible to apply to this program in the College of Design after completing all required first- and second-year courses. Admissions are highly competitive, with a portfolio requirement as part of the application process. Students in the BS program take 4, 6-credit design studios, a sequence of technology courses and 9 credits of upper-level electives. Graduates of the BS in Architecture program are well prepared to apply to the School of Architecture's 2-year Master of Architecture program, as well as programs at other schools, per their admissions requirements.
