The UMass Lowell Nutritional Science BS Program was recently ranked as one of the top 25 best nutritional sciences programs in the country. With a B.S. in Nutritional Science, you’ll be prepared for a career in fields such as dietetics, nutrition and wellness, food science and nutrition research. Earn a Nutritional Science BS degree in one of three Options: Dietetics Option – This accredited degree option prepares students for a career as a Nutrition and Dietetics Technician, Registered. NDTRs are an integral part of healthcare and food service management teams. Nutrition and Wellness Option - This degree option combines nutrition, public health and business coursework. Students are prepared for positions related to disease prevention and health promotion in the community. General Option – This degree option provides students with a strong science background. Students are prepared for a variety of research positions or may choose to apply to coordinated dietetics programs, doctoral programs or medical school.
