Course Description

The Extended / Level 0 programme in the School of Law and Social Sciences provides a broad framework of key academic and personal skills, along with specialist knowledge in a range of subject areas. It provides a supportive and stimulating environment for students and is an opportunity to devote time and resources to developing the necessary academic and personal skills to be successful at degree-level study. It will also provide you with an opportunity to think about what you want to study before you choose and experience what it is like to be a student in higher education. The programme particularly targets those who: * have experienced interruption in their education * do not wish to return to further education or undertake an Access course * faced significant challenges in the last year of A2 study * may have studied in a dedicated vocational context and require fuller academic development before progressing on to a graduate programme * are mature students.
