From observational recording, copying and transcription, to digital developments and applications, modern hieroglyphics, interactive map works, anatomical and life drawing, three-dimensional portraits, projections and elevations, you'll build a breadth of drawing skills and techniques through a wide range of projects. With an inspirational landscape right on your doorstep, you'll have the opportunity to get outside and draw, through field trips to visual arts hotspots including St Ives and the Isles of Scilly. Alongside this you'll develop a thorough understanding of drawing through different cultural and historical viewpoints so that, by combining your skills and knowledge, you'll start to establish your own drawing language. As your confidence builds, the course evolves, giving you the freedom to develop your own personal direction and identity in your work.
