The mathematics program is designed primarily for individuals who seek a terminal graduate degree in mathematics. However, students may, in consultation with their advisor, design a program that will prepare them for a Ph.D. in mathematics. In addition, this program meets the New York State guidelines for permanent certification for those with initial teaching certification in secondary mathematics education.
