BSc (Hons) Business Management

Course Description

This three-year full-time degree course, which includes a 20-week RAU work placement programme in year two, provides you with a thorough grounding in general business management and, additionally, provides an opportunity to study particular themes within business management in greater depth. The aim of the course is to equip you with analytical and problem-solving skills which you can use within a business context. A great deal of time is spent developing communication and presentation skills which are particularly vital in work environments.

Career outcomes

The course aims to equip graduates to use their business training, in-depth knowledge of specialist areas such as marketing, finance, human resources and general management and/or language skills, to pursue a career in business, nationally or internationally. Potentially available are roles in the City as a commodity trader or analyst, consultancy and advisory positions with government and international private agencies, public administration, professional, trade or labour organisations. Occupations in communications, media and event management are ideal for graduates.
