Course Description

NDNU offers a Bachelor of Arts in Communication degree with an option for further concentration in public relations and media studies. The program provides students with hands-on experience in communication as well as an understanding of the social and cultural impact of media. NDNU students are well prepared for positions in a vast range of fields such as journalism, public relations, corporate communication, event planning and marketing. As part of the degree, all students will complete two internships leading to invaluable professional experience and access to job opportunities. The Argonaut is our award-winning newspaper and website that allows students to dive into the entire process of media production from writing and editing to layout and advertising design and sales. Students in other majors are also able to obtain a minor in communication. Past student internships have included Eye on the Bay, KRON News, Boys and Girls Club, Belmont Chamber of Commerce, KTVU Sports, San Francisco Magazine, VISA, Red Cross, Wave Magazine, as well as various placements in real estate, marketing, public relations and event planning companies.
