MSc International Accounting and Finance

Course Description

This postgraduate programme is aimed at those who have passed their final professional accountancy examinations with one of the UK’s professional accounting bodies and want to gain competitive advantage by adding a master’s degree to their professional qualification. Students choosing LCA's MSc Accounting and Finance have the option of starting in September, January or May. The programme takes between 8 and 12 months to successfully complete, depending on when you start, and costs £3,400 for the complete course. The UK professional accounting bodies are: * The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) * The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) * The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) * The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) * The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) The course comprises two taught modules and a finance-based case study. One of the two taught modules will extend previously acquired finance knowledge whilst the other paper will seek to place accounting in a wider organisational and strategic context. Students must select: * one finance module, * one non finance module, and * a finance based major project. LCA staff will advise students on the modules available.
