This is a one year full time course, which aims to introduce you to the stimulating world of art and design developing a creative perspective, preparing you for application for entry onto the Level 2 course. This is a lively, innovative course that trains students in both the creativity and technical aspects of art and design. Throughout the course you will study a range of disciplines which will introduce you to general art and design, multimedia and performing arts. You will also study functional skills in Maths, Information Technology and English and Work Skills. You will also be expected to present an exhibition of your work at the end of the academic year. There is no formal examination but final major projects are marked externally by Edexcel. All other work is assessed internally.
