Our distinctive MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering will build upon the BEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering by giving you the opportunity to learn the management skills needed to become a leader in this industry and to explore additional specialist modules. During your fourth year, you will participate in a group project that will aim to solve a real technical problem, possibly from a real customer from industry. This project will test and further develop your technical skills but also will develop your management skills as you will work in a team that needs to deliver a solution to a real engineering problem. This programme has been specifically designed to allow you to develop the skills, knowledge, and application required for a wide range of professional engineering careers as high quality practitioners and leaders in business, engineering, research and development, and industry, We have strong relationships with employers, and our graduates are particularly in demand for their understanding of organisations and their practical abilities in the workplace. We have our own Careers Hub website and run an annual careers fair.

Employability is embedded into modules from the first year onwards and right from the first lecture. We explain the degree skills which are being taught throughout the modules and offer a number of optional employability modules. The technical skills you will obtain are in high demand, as are skills of understanding and analysing problems, together with communicating the results.
