MSc Molecular Medicine

Course Description

This new course aims to provide you with a broad overview of the molecular and cellular causes and treatments of human diseases. It provides practical and theoretical understanding of the most important current topics in molecular medicine, including the biology of cancer, synthetic biology, cardiovascular diseases and stem cells and regenerative medicine. You will also gain hands-on training in research techniques such as confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, cloning, in situ hybridisation and bioinformatics and you will carry out your own independent research project. This course will prepare you for subsequent PhD studies or for pursuing a career in industry or academia.
