The MRes programme is a one year course and provides a training programme in a specific research area, in one of three named routes (veterinary science, veterinary business and management and veterinary education). The course aims to enhance awareness and understanding of latest veterinary research developments, whilst providing tailored in-depth training relating to the research interests of the student.

Individual guidance appointments, career management training programme, access to resources and invitations to events including skills workshops and recruitment fairs are just some of the ways in which they can help you develop your full potential, whether you choose to continue within an academic setting or are looking at options outside of academia. In 2011, among our postgraduates available for employment, the average starting salary was £34,750 with the highest being £50,000. Career destinations for our graduates include scientific researchers, secondary teachers, university lectures and university researchers.
