As a PhD or MPhil student in engineering you will be a member of the College of Engineering, Mathematics and Physical Sciences. The current research activities in engineering cover a wide range of interests within civil, electronic, mechanical, manufacturing and materials engineering, as well as in engineering management. Research funding is obtained from a range of sources such as the UK Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, the Department of Trade and Industry, the South West Regional Development Agency, the European Union and local, national and international industry.
