Our Ancient History programme offers the opportunity to develop an understanding of the history, societies and political ideas of the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations that is both in-depth and wide-ranging. Learning about Ancient History at Exeter is much more than just learning about dates, people and events. You’ll be taught within a department known for its excellent teaching and world-class research, and challenged by scholars who are at the forefront of their respective fields. You'll be inspired to think holistically about the ancient world and our historical sources for it, and to question orthodoxies and dogmas.
