We offer two business management degree pathways. They are the only degrees of this kind in the UK to be accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). Business Management BSc (Hons) Business Management (Accounting and Finance) BSc (Hons) These progressive courses look forward to new practices. Both are taught by leading experts in business and management who have strong links with companies and professional bodies. They both allow you to visit financial institutions helping you understand how business management issues are handled in practice. Business Management (Accounting and Finance) BSc (Hons) is ideal if you want a broad business base degree but also want to work in the specific function of accounting and finance. Incorporating the same core syllabus and focus on sustainable and ethical business management practices as the Business Management BSc, this course provides additional flexibility - a blend of core management skills and subject-specific knowledge. It will develop your understanding of the importance and relevance of both accountancy and finance in business and within wider society. By studying the role of accounting information and practices in a corporate context, you’ll develop core disciplines highly valued by employers. Students of both courses will be welcomed to our Business Society which arranges an event calendar, annual ball and career presentations from institutions such as the Government Economic Service, Scottish Executive, Bank of England etc.
