This four month course allows students to study anatomy side by side with life drawing, sculpture and illustration. It is aimed both at artists who wish to study anatomy first hand from cadaver study as well as anatomists and other scientists who would like to enhance their knowledge through developing their artistic skills. Students will learn anatomy through dissection, prosection study, illustration and facial sculpture and apply this to life art practice. Students will also be introduced to research methods and digital media. This course is a dynamic collaboration bringing together expertise from both the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID) and the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. (DJCAD).
