The University of Cincinnati has a variety of different programs to choose from in Nutrition & Dietetics. All undergraduate students who are interested in becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or who want to work in a nutrition related profession should enroll in one of the tracks in the Nutrition & Dietetics major. In 2024, the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) will require a graduate degree plus completion of an accredited dietetic internship to take the national registration examination for RDNs. Nutrition & Dietetics - Community Nutrition The Nutrition & Dietetics - Community program is a four year degree that gives you a strong foundation in nutrition, science and wellness. This track allows you to help people change their lifestyle and develop healthy eating habits. This pathway provides the coursework needed to apply to the Accelerated Dietitian Nutritionist Program or any other graduate-degree plus dietetic internship in the country in order to earn the RDN credential. Nutrition & Dietetics - Sports Nutrition The Nutrition & Dietetics - Sports Nutrition program is a four year degree that gives you a foundation in nutrition, science and the physiology of sports. In this track you study the relationship between diet, exercise and health. This pathway allows you to apply to the Accelerated Dietitian Nutritionist Program or any other graduate-degree plus dietetic internship in the country in order to earn the RDN credential.
