What is Accelerated Path BSN/MSN ? The Accelerated Pathway program is an opportunity for people who hold a degree outside of nursing to become registered nurses and quickly earn a master's degree in a nursing specialty area. There are three phases to the program. Phase I requires completion of courses to fulfill pre-requisites for nursing courses. Phase II is the accelerated pre-licensure phase. It requires full time study beginning in mid June for 4 consecutive quarters followed by a 3 credit practicum in the fifth quarter. After completing this phase you sit for the RN licensure exam. Post-license you are able to continue into Phase III, the master’s portion. The master’s portion currently offers 13 different specialties. Most of the specialties have both full-time and part-time options. We suggest that you go to our web site and examine our academic programs. Both the Phase III master’s program offerings and the Accelerated program are described.
