Course Description

The Bachelor of Health Science is a great introduction to the health industry and is designed to help you gain employment in a health related area. It offers a broad-based introduction to health science in areas such as public health policy, psychology, nutrition, anatomy and indigenous health. You can choose to take your degree in a number of directions by majoring in subjects such as pre-physiotherapy, pharmaceutical science, nutrition, applied psychology, health and physical education, counselling or midwifery. Study a Bachelor of Health Science at UC and you will: attain a broad knowledge and skill for working in the health industry and for further learning into a variety of health disciplines analyse and evaluate information in a range of health related disciplines develop the technical and communication skills to provide health solutions for increasingly complex problems foster the cognitive skills to communicate solutions and knowledge to others develop solutions working autonomously and in teams, within the broad health parameters covered in the degree, to provide specialist advice to others.
