About BSc Neuroscience Our neuroscience course is made up of core units that consolidate your knowledge of physiology and anatomy, on which you can build your understanding of the nervous system. In years one and two, you will take core units and a selection of optional units. For example, second-year units explore many aspects of neuroscience including the neurophysiology of the central nervous system, the pharmacology of drugs that affect the nervous system and the techniques that have enabled advances in understanding the nervous system. In your final year, you will study at the forefront of current research in neuroscience, taking units such as Learning and Memory and Brain and Behaviour, as well as studying specialised topics such as neuropsychiatric diseases. You will also carry out a research project.
