About MSci Environmental Geoscience with Study Abroad This course's structure mirrors that of the MSci. You spend your third year abroad studying geoscience units comparable to those offered in Bristol before returning to us for your final research-centred year. This degree is heavily science-based, emphasising the interactions between the geosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere in developing and controlling the Earth's environment. This dynamic system is studied through the interactions between geology, biology, chemistry and physics, which together define conditions on the Earth and how these may be influenced by human activities. In years one and two you will gain a firm grounding in Earth science, then choose from a broad range of advanced topics that are available for study in your following years.
