About MEng Computer Science and Electronics with Study Abroad This course is a joint degree between the departments of Computer Science and Electrical and Electronic Engineering. It has been designed to meet the needs of the modern computer and electronics industries. The Bristol area in particular hosts a thriving and world-leading semiconductor design industry with increasing demand for engineering graduates with knowledge of both electronics and computing, and our students benefit from our close collaboration with local industry. On this course, you will spend your third year abroad at a university that teaches in English. You then return to Bristol for the fourth year of your degree, undertaking a solo research project, and you'll have the opportunity to take optional subjects to suit your interests.
