Course Description

About BSc Accounting and Finance with Study Abroad This degree extends our three-year BSc course to four years, with your third year spent studying accounting and finance in English at a university abroad, before returning to Bristol for your final year. It combines the challenging, broad academic content of all our accounting degrees with an overseas dimension that reflects the multinational nature of modern business. To join this degree, you will initially apply to BSc Accounting and Finance or BSc Economics and Accounting. During your first year, you can then put your name forward for consideration for the four-year course. Allocation of places is merit-based, depending upon your first year examination results. ears one and two cover underpinning material in Financial and Management Accounting, Corporate Finance and Applied Quantitative Research Methods, as well as the option to choose modules in Economics, Business Law, Management, Taxation and a variety of open units from across the university. You may choose to take a language module in the language of the country where you will spend your third year abroad. You will spend year three at a partner institution overseas, for example at Copenhagen Business School, where your studies will match the course at Bristol, before returning to Bristol for your final year, when, in addition to studying core units in Financial Markets and in Advanced Corporate Finance, you will have a range of options to choose from, including: Advanced Management Accounting; Auditing; Corporate Communication; Financial Crises; Financial Reporting; International Finance; Portfolio Management; and Strategic Management. as well as options in Economics and in other areas of Management.
