Course Description

You benefit from specialist workshops and lecture theatres; the University library's extensive range of books, journals, online resources and visual materials and the Herbert Read Gallery's regular exhibitions and talks by international artists. You also have your own fully equipped baseroom containing imaging software, output facilities, study space and internet access. Research seminars focus on fine art and architecture and provide opportunities for debate on contemporary practice and theory. You are encouraged to attend regular seminars at the Royal Institute for British Architects (RIBA) in London, involving artists, architects, cultural theorists and designers who engage with current thinking on issues of space, art and architecture. The distinctive environment of fine art together with the School of Architecture, enables both specialist and interdisciplinary approaches to research.
