The MEng Humanitarian Engineering programme is intended to provide students with a thorough grounding in mechanical engineering science and then apply this to the Humanitarian and relief aid industry. In addition, students will develop knowledge in a range of manufacturing processes and materials specific to the Humanitarian Aid Industry. The programme will also consider environmental aspects of design and technology and will enable students to gain a range of skills, relevant to a broad range of employment opportunities.

There is a clear market for students to be employed in this field and it is an area of, sadly, expected growth in the forthcoming years due to changes in the earths climate and the continued unrest and political uncertainty throughout the world.
