The course is a mixture of practical and analytical modules all of them developing the engineering themes from basic principles. Maths and Science are core and are reinforced in almost every module, this combined with a good grounding in design, powertrain, chassis, management, suspension, diagnostic and practical abilities means that after the first year students can embark on a group design project employing all the skills learnt in the first year. On successful completion of the second year third year modules build on these skills, enhancing your ability to work in a team and specialise in an area of their choice through completion of a major dissertation.
