The International Foundation Year is a three-term programme of academic subjects, study skills and English language training designed specifically to provide international students with a direct path to degree study at the University. There are two subject route options offering specialist preparation for a wide variety of undergraduate programmes. The International Foundation Year is run by Study Group, a world leader in education and training for international students. Every year, Study Group provides exceptional educational programmes for over 60,000 students from more than 130 countries. Study Structure You can choose one of two International Foundation Year routes: Business, Economics, Law and Politics*» Engineering, Science and Mathematics*» All Foundation routes are modular in structure. There are five core units common to each route; English and Skills for University Study 1, 2 and 3; Project Study and Core Mathematics. You will also study five subject-specific units, each carefully designed to focus on the academic areas most useful to your chosen degree.

Once you complete the programme and achieve the required grades, you can enter the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Surrey.
