The Foundation Year is part of our LLB programme of awards. During Year 1, you'll study three key law modules: Principles of English Law, Crime in Context and Law of Obligations. You'll also develop your IT skills, study skills and legal skills. The Foundation Year incorporates a variety of learning experiences, including seminars, tutorials, practical work, group work, research and role play. In Year 2 and Year 3, you'll study the core modules required by professional legal bodies, SRA and BSB. This will allow you to choose from a wide range of law options in your final year. You'll learn via lectures, workshops and group sessions to help you develop work-based skills such as interviewing and working in groups. And you can take part in numerous competitions such as mooting, interviewing and negotiation - important skills in any workplace. When you graduate from this course, you could continue your studies onto our top-rated highly regarded Legal Practice Course or onto our taught LLM programme.
