Course Description

As well as satisfying the academic stage of training if you're interested in a career within the legal profession, this course is also a flexible qualification that provides excellent career opportunities across a broad range of industries. In a supportive, friendly environment, you'll learn about law and develop skills important for the workplace. These include: research, communication, drafting and problem-solving - as well as other skills that employers value. You can choose either a wide-ranging set of options or a specialism such as: sports law, employment law, environmental law, commercial law, family law or human rights law. You could also spend the first teaching block of your final year at a partner institution in Europe. You can study in English or - if you have adequate language skills - in French. And there's a grant from the European Commission towards the cost of travelling abroad. In addition to your studies, you can take part in various competitions. These include mooting, interviewing and negotiation - all valuable skills in any workplace. You'll learn via lectures, workshops and group sessions to help you develop work-based skills such as interviewing and team work. When you finish the course, you could continue your studies onto our top-rated Legal Practice Course or onto our taught LLM programme.
