To recognise the importance of employability skills, our Electronic Engineering degree will focus heavily on developing the competences that employers want such as effective team working, excellent communication skills, and confident presentation skills. You will work in our brand new electrical and electronic laboratory facilities and you will have access to state-of-the-art hardware platforms and software tools in telecommunications, instrumentation and control systems, VLSI design and embedded software, and PCB design and manufacture. You will also have the option to undertake a work placement after completing your second year to develop your employability skills in a working environment, gain invaluable practical experience, and position you favourably for graduate roles. Our close links with many high profile companies mean we can help you secure your work placement. During your final year, you will complete an independent engineering project along with specialist modules in your areas of interest.
