Law (Criminology) LLB

Course Description

This degree offers all the career opportunities of a conventional LLB, but could be just right if you want to go into criminal practice or to work for the Crown Prosecution Service. It would also be an excellent choice if you're interested in joining the police, probation service or prison service. When you finish this course, you could continue your studies onto our highly regarded Legal Practice Course or onto our taught LLM programme, which allows you to specialise in a number of areas. In Year 1, you'll study the same subjects as for the LLB single honours. This includes a workshop-based skills module as well as lectures and tutorials in a further three core modules. In Year 2, you'll cover Legal Enterprise and Innovation and core modules required by professional bodies. And in your final year, you'll study specialist criminology modules, such as Criminal Justice, Crime Prevention and Environmental Criminology
