This certificate will equip students with a level of knowledge, skills and competence in music to provide a pathway to further education and training, and the skills to meet specific industry profiles for people entering the workforce as musicians or other members of the music industry.

Graduates will be able to demonstrate a broad range of fundamental theoretical, practical and technical music skills. They will be able to participate in group performances and understand the operation of recording systems. Graduates will have a basic knowledge of music theory and aural recognition. This programme leads to further study, such as SIT's Bachelor of Contemporary Music.
