This program enables you to practise as a remedial massage therapist. You’ll learn how to deliver a massage treatment that seeks out and treats the source of a patient’s pain. You’ll use a variety of remedial massage skills, based on comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, specific musculoskeletal assessment and myofascial release. Most of your industry experience takes place at RMIT's city-based Myotherapy Therapy Clinic. We focus on practically applying your learned skills and knowledge, teaching you not just how to do things, but also why. Our links with industry will give you opportunities to put your skills to work while studying. When you complete this program, you can automatically progress on to the RMIT Advanced Diploma of Remedial Massage (Myotherapy).
