Course Description

Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners intent on health promotion. They diagnose, treat and work to prevent mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system. In this program, you'll be trained as a practitioner who engages in daily critical reflection and lifelong learning. You'll examine how such disorders affect biomechanics, the nervous system and health in general. Our focus is on manual treatments like spinal adjustments and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation. Anatomy, physiology and pathology subjects underpin the clinical science studies of physical examination, differential diagnosis for the chiropractor and clinical practicum. You'll begin work-integrated learning immediately, culminating in your fourth year when you'll perform patient care duties with supervision from a registered practitioner.
