Course Description

Research is targeted at two complementary themes: Nanophotonics and plasmonics Nanoscale functional materials and devices Both these themes encompass our expertise in underlying science and materials for next-generation data storage and information-processing technologies. All international strategies and roadmaps foresee an increasing role for advanced functional materials and optics and optical excitations, particularly in ever-diminishing dimensions. Being able to combine our established strengths in both themes places us in a unique position in the UK and beyond.
