Mechanical engineers analyse, conceptualise, design and manufacture items from the very small (such as micro machines) to the very large (such as aircraft). Mechanical engineers are central to the production of almost every item that we use.

Macquarie University will be applying for accreditation for this new major in due course in accordance with Engineers Australia’s requirements. Programs accredited by Engineers Australia are recognised internationally.
