Our Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) is the first medical school in Australia to offer credentialed sub-speciality, post-fellowship training. It is located next to Macquarie University Hospital, Australia’s only private hospital on a university campus. In other words, our researchers and teachers are given a uniquely high level of support. The Master of Medicine (MMed) is a two year, full-time program that allows students to acquire a university qualification demonstrating mastery of medical competence to support their career goals and life-long learning skills. The program is designed to combine the teaching of hands-on medical skills with rigorously assessed competencies, in a framework of ethics, education and research. Students are encouraged to consider significant and original adaptations to the application and interpretation of existing knowledge.
