The BEng (Hons) Architectural Engineering programme will: provide you with a broad education across the principal engineering disciplines; provide you with appropriate depth of technical knowledge and understanding of the key engineering topics within architectural engineering; provide you with an awareness of management issues within the built environment; establish the framework in which architectural engineers function. Both the BEng and the MEng programmes are accredited by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Energy Institute (EI).

The increased importance placed on sustainability in building design means there’s currently a global shortage of qualified architectural and building services engineers. Consequently, our graduates have an excellent track record in gaining employment and have gone on to successful careers working for engineering consultancies, architectural practices and the public sector. Roles in which graduates are employed vary widely and include mechanical services engineer as well as design and sustainability engineer.
