Course Description

Drew’s program leads to a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and provisional dual teaching certification in elementary or secondary education and Teacher of Students with Disabilities. We train secondary education teacher in the following areas: biology, chemistry, English, French, Italian, math, physics, Spanish, social studies, or theater arts. The focus of the program is to train teachers who can prepare students for the challenges of the Global Age. Coursework stresses the development of 21st Century Skills: sophisticated critical thinking and analytical skills, the transferability of knowledge and skills, a deeper understanding of other cultures, and the knowledge of global trends within students’ own subject areas.
