The Cardiff Bachelor of Nursing (BN) is an innovative and contemporary programme, redesigned for 2012 to meet the new Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) 2010 standards. You can specialise in one of three fields of nursing (Adult, Child or Mental Health) from the start of the programme. The integrated nature of the programme enables students from all three fields to learn together, sharing ideas while focusing on the needs of their individual field. Adult nursing is an exciting, challenging and rewarding career choice which requires intellect and commitment, good people skills, compassion, a sense of humour, and lots of patience and understanding. It offers the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives which has an intrinsic value that few other professions can offer. On qualification, it is possible to work in a wide range of healthcare settings both in the United Kingdom and abroad.
